A little about myself...
I’m David, a game designer and producer currently pursuing an MFA in Game Design at NYU Tisch’s Game Center. I focus on designing precise, novel, and engaging experiences at any scale, with a particular interest in shorter, experimental, and playful projects.

I’ve designed award-winning serious games across multiple genres and have led multidisciplinary teams from early concept through polished release. My core strengths include mechanics and experience design as well as production, with additional experience in narrative design, UI, and programming.

Figure it Sprout
Design, Production, and UI/UX
April - June, 2023
Figure it Sprout is a grid-based puzzle game developed over the summer of 2023. I led design on a four-person team, creating the core mechanics and levels, and defining the game’s UI and visual aesthetic. I also served as producer, organizing the team and driving the project from concept through completion.
This game was showcased at Dreamhack Atlanta 2023 and was sponsored and published by the charity organization Jennifer Ann's Group.

SOLACE
Design, Production, and Programming
December 20, 2025 - January 4, 2026
SOLACE is a short puzzle-platformer made in 2 weeks for that game jam #1. I led the team of 5 as the producer by setting goals, assigning tasks, and scheduling meetings, keeping us on track to deliver. I also designed the puzzles and levels and contributed to programming, focusing on UX and gamefeel.

home row
Solo Project
November 2025
home row is a short, experimental experience I created over 2 weeks for the Game Center's Studio I Physics Game assignment. I wanted to explore an unconventional control scheme that uses the player's entire keyboard, while still focusing on delivering a simple but highly polished experience.

Last Ride Home
Design, Writing, and Programming
December 2025
Last Ride Home is a visual novel I designed and wrote for Narrative Studio. The game takes place on the final bus ride before a line is shut down. While the player rides from the first stop to the last, the other passengers have their own schedules and stops, meaning conversations can get cut off, and players won't be able to see all the dialogue. The project experiments with ephemerality, creating a narrative that players can’t fully experience.
I designed the systems, 3D visuals, and UI, and wrote portions of several characters.

expressline
Solo Project
October 2025
expressline is a short walking simulator created for Studio I that experiments with storytelling through character vignettes from only the moments in their lives when they were on the subway.

I focused on non-text-based storytelling, character posing, environmental design and lighting, shaping the game's aesthetic and emotional tone.
